After it was announced that singer, T-Pain, will no longer be sailing on the Pitbull After Dark Party — The Pitbull Cruise due to scheduling conflicts, Sixthman has just reported that Austin Mahone, has been added to the lineup!
The 20-year-old singer-songwriter is back with funky new single ‘Dirty Work’. The song is being praised by press worldwide, with Billboard declaring ‘Dirty Work’ the singer’s, ‘best and most ambitious single to date’. The single became a worldwide trending topic and shot Austin to the top of the Billboard social charts. No stranger to the charts, the powerhouse released his debut EP, ‘The Secret,’ last May, which landed him a top 5 chart position on the Billboard 200. In the past two years, the performer has headlined his own sold-out tours, including MTV’s Artist to Watch tour and a nationwide summer tour. This was not the pop star’s first time on the road, having opened for Taylor Swift’s RED Tour in the summer of 2013. In 2013, Austin also won the MTV VMA for Best New Artist, being named MTV’s “Artist to Watch”. In the same year, he was awarded the MTV EMA for “Best Push Artist,” and “Artist on The Rise,” as well as iHeart Radio Music’s “Instagram Award” in 2014. Mahone released his single “Mmm Yeah” featuring Pitbull on iTunes in January 2014, which soared to #2 on the iTunes charts within its first week.
Not only does he have a solid fan base, known as “Mahomies,” but the teen sensation has a legion of loyal fans in the media as well. Austin has made high profile appearances and performances on Good Morning America, The Today Show, Live! With Kelly & Michael, Access Hollywood, Entertainment Tonight, E! News, Extra, The Insider, VH1, and MTV, in addition to features in Details Magazine, Billboard, Entertainment Weekly and Wall Street Journal. Austin has also been chosen for the covers of Teen Vogue, YRB, J-14, Popstar!, M, Astro Girl, Quiz Fest and Twist. Mahone boasts over 7 million Instagram followers, over 8.7 million Twitter followers and over 13 million Facebook likes. Austin’s current single, “Dirty Work,” was released July 10, 2015 and is the first track off his upcoming, debut full-length album. The song has made its way to radio stations nationwide. The song’s music video was released July 27, 2015 and racked up more than a million views in its first 24 hours, with more than 3 million views to date. His previous hit singles, “What About Love” and “Banga! Banga!” have collectively garnered more than 200 million views on YouTube.
Pitbull will be inviting even more of his favorite artists to join him on this adventure at sea. You can expect more artist announcements throughout the year to round out this music festival, so count on your days to be filled with numerous shows, contests, activities and more.
