During his visit, Mr. 305 also announced that SLAM! Radio is coming soon! SLAM! Radio is the first ever student-run nation channel in broadcast radio history. The channel is co-founded by Pitbull. The station will be produced and presented by high school students of the SLAM! Charter Schools and will begin as a pilot program at the Miami-based campus.

SLAM! Radio will focus on sports, entertainment, and journalism, and will align with the charter academy’s mission to provide students with an introduction to the industry of sports media.

“It’s an honor for SLAM! to embark on this project on SiriusXM as part of its journey to expand beyond the 305 to schools located across the country,” said Pitbull.
