
NBCUniversal Telemundo Enterprises announced today the launch of Telemundo Academy, a history making multimedia educational institution to empower, train, and prepare the next generation of media leaders. The first partners include none other than Pitbull and his SLAM! Miami Academy.
The first-ever educational program of it’s kind, which is also supported by the network company’s social initiative, El Poder En Ti, will immerse students into the media world and expose them to the industry’s most important topics through an accelerating curriculum.
“We are changing the game in education by changing how we educate students. This partnership will give students hand-on industry experience,” said Armando in a statement. “We’re excited to partner with Telemundo to engage students in a world beyond the classroom.”
Beginning this month, 30 students with interests in media careers will be chosen from both SLAM! and Doral Academy, two leading charter schools in South Florida, to enroll in Telemundo Academy‘s 16-week program.
