‘UglyDolls’ to Hit Theaters May 3, 2019

It Couldn’t Be Better Than This… The release date for the UglyDolls movie featuring Pitbull, Kelly Clarkson, Nick Jonas, and more has now been moved up to May 3rd, 2019!

The animated motion picture was originally slated to hit theaters in the U.S. on May 10th, 2019, but they just couldn’t wait to get the world in on all the ugly action!

Pitbull voices the character of Ugly Dog in the animated film, who is Moxy (voiced by Kelly Clarkson)’s closest friend and companion. He’s always got his eye on the ball, and he also has a smart collar with every gadget you can imagine. With Ugly Dog by your side, there’s no other loyal sidekick you’d need!

In addition to voicing a key character in the movie, Pitbull will be writing and performing and original song for the film.

In the animated movie, the free-spirited UglyDolls confront what it means to be different, struggle with a desire to be loved, and ultimately discover who you truly are is what matters the most. The dolls live in the town of Uglyville, where cake and cookies are balanced diets and weird is celebrated as a special kind of beauty. Ugly Do (voiced by Pitbull), along with Moxy (Kelly Clarkson), Ox (Blake Shelton), Wage (Wanda Sykes), Babo (Gabriel Iglesias), and Lucky Bat (Wang Leehom), set out to explore the world.

While exploring, they discover the town of Perfection, lead by Lou (voiced by Nick Jonas). Lou is the very image of perfection, who trains the citizens to behave in prescribed doll ways in order to “graduate” to the human word in hopes of finding a child’s love.

The animated adventure is about acceptance, diversity, joy, and friendship. It shows us that the words ugly, pretty, perfect, and imperfect are just words and it’s up to you what you make of those words. And most of all, it’s about being the best version of yourself that you can be.
