Pitbull at Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas

Mr. Worldwide visited the Global Gaming Expo in Las Vegas today to celebrate the launch of Playboy Don’t Stop the Party! which is a progressive video slot machine featuring Pit along side Playboy Playmates on the ALPHA 2 Pro Theater cabinet with a Pro Sound Chair.

Last year Pitbull teamed up with Playboy, Bally Technologies and Scientific Games to create the slot machine. The game will entertain players with three hit songs from Pit, popular play mechanics and a five-level progressive jackpot, including a potentially life-changing wide area progressive award on the Bally Cash Conection link that is sure to heat up casino floors.

Armando’s visit to the Global Gaming Expo (#G2E2015), was quite quick.  While he was there, he met and greeted fans and he tested out his new slot machine alongside several Playboy Bunnies.

Take a look at some fan-taken photos and videos of Pit at G2E2015 and an interview that was featured on FOX5 Vegas below!

Night two of Pitbull’s Time of our Lives Vegas Residency

The show was, of course, full of hits, energy and dancing!

Pitbull Talks About Giving fans the Time of Their Lives in Vegas

image
Prior to kicking off his mini-residency at Planet Hollywood in Las Vegas, Mr. 305 talked to Vegas.com about becoming Mr. 702!

Take a look at the article below!

¡Dale! All we can say is that when (not if) you go to see Pitbull at Planet Hollywood, make sure you wear your dancing shoes; you’ll be moving, shaking and dropping in ways you maybe didn’t know were possible.

Kicking off his seven-show, “Time of Our Lives” residency last night with his chart-topping “Don’t Stop the Party,” it took one word out of Mr. Worldwide’s mouth to have the 7,000-member audience in the Axis Theater at Planet Hollywood up on their feet and dancing.

Joined onstage by his band and his troupe of sumptuous dancers, the suave Miami rapper entertained the crowd with a variety of his best known American hits as well as some of his old school classics from his debut album “M.I.A.M.I.” (an abbreviation for Money Is A Major Issue).

Prior to the opening night, we had a chance to sit down with the mega-star and discovered why this concert is especially important to him.

“To me, Vegas is an honor and an amazing opportunity,” Pitbull explained. “But more than anything, because of my family being from Cuba, Havana is what spawned the idea for Vegas. So once everything went down with the revolution in Cuba, everybody shot up to Vegas, you know, Meyer Lansky and Bugsy Siegel and what they did up there. So, to be able to play in Vegas is something that is deeply rooted, a tremendous honor and also a big step in our career.”

Opening his show with a video montage explaining the revolution in Cuba to the audience and relating that to his humble upbringing, Pitbull offered concertgoers insight to his personal life and the meaning behind his Vegas show before even stepping foot on the stage.

However, once the mega-star was ushered onstage via smoke bursts and an unforgettable laser light show, the party kicked up to 11.

“I say, y’all having a good time out there?” Pitbull questioned and the crowd affirmatively answered with a simultaneous wild scream.

“When it comes to the show, it’s all about energy, all about having a great time, for two hours I would say,” said Pitbull. “We are going to try to, in one way or another, give it the Vegas remix but more than anything it’s just all about fun.”

And while we are not perfectly clear on what Pitbull meant by “Vegas remix” we are pretty confident that it had everything to do with energizing effects such the massive fire plumes that shot off when he performed his 2014 smash hit “Fireball.”

Not just fun for the audience, it is very clear that Pitbull loves performing all of his songs, “Fireball” in particular, and it shows: “The number that I think has a lot of ‘Vegas’ to it and even when I perform it on tour, it would be ‘Fireball,’” he said. “I mean, that record right there, I think, embodies everything that has to do with Vegas…Vegas itself being a fireball, Vegas itself being a spot where everybody goes, you know, Sin City – what happens in Vegas stays in Vegas and ‘Fireball,’ to me, has that energy; it’s like evil vs. good so I can’t wait to perform that and really give it that Vegas twist.”
Whether the energetic performer was entertaining the crowds by working every angle of the stage (we want to know his cardio plan because he totally killed it), wowing us with special effects and enticing video displays, or kicking back a little bit while his sexy dancers took control, there was not a single dull moment in this party.
And if you’re hoping to catch Mr. 305 out and about in Sin City, you’ll most likely find him indulging in his favorite Cuban restaurants around town or partying in his hotel room: “I’m more of the low-key type and when it comes to the craziness, I just keep it in the hotel room,” he explained.” “I’m like the Gingerbread Man, catch me if you can!”

So for all of you party animals out there, if you want to add some spice to your Vegas vacay, head down to Planet Hollywood and catch Pitbull while he’s still here. And take this as a fair warning: You will be in party mode long after the show is over.

Upcoming performances: Ticket prices from $70.25, all performances start at 9 p.m.

Pitbull to Produce Miami Family Drama on FOX

Mr. Worldwide will soon be able to add producer to his resume as he and Endemol Shine Studios bring a Miami-set drama to FOX!

The drama will be called 305, named after Miami’s area code, and the script will be written by Sacha Penn, who has also written Survior’s Remorse, and directed by Jonathon Levine, who’s work includes directing Warm Bodies. And of course, Mr. 305 will be a executive producer along with Penn, Levine and David Ortiz.

Armando is continuing his deal with FOX and his own production company, Honey I’m Home to produce 305 and continue to host his own New Year’s Eve show, Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution.

In 305, when Willy is pulled from his rundown high school and sent to live with his uncle, a celebrity chef, and attend the wealthiest private school in Miami, he attempts to acclimate himself to his new surroundings while dealing with relationships, family drama, work, and all the problems that more money bring.

There is no word on when the show will begin filming, but most likely, it’ll be within the next year.

Seven Questions with Pitbull

image
Pitbull recently did an interview with Vegas SEVEN where he talked about Time of our Lives, SLAM! Vegas, out dancing Enrique Iglesias, and more!

Check it out below!

What do you hope your die-hard fans will get out of your residency? What do you have in store for them?

To perform in Vegas is definitely an honor. [Think about] folks like Elvis and Sinatra, and all the amazing names that have been to Vegas. Also Vegas is deeply rooted in our [Cuban] culture. The idea of Vegas was spawned from Havana. [Right] before the revolution happened is basically when Vegas took off. It’s great and amazing for me to be a part of this platform.

As far as the die-hard fans and what to expect? What they’re going to get is energy, an escape for at least an hour and a half—not to think about bills, or all the other negative things in their lives—and hopefully, they leave motivated and inspired. As far as preparation, it’s real simple. We’re not trying to reinvent the wheel. It’s all about adding on to what we have and giving it that little Vegas remix. We’ve been looking at the different stages and different setups, what the dancers are going to wear, what they’re not going to wear—hopefully they don’t wear much. They’re going to be up there sexy and sophisticated.

More importantly, what are you going to wear? You have this reputation, and you always come dressed to the nines. How do you manage to stay cool under that tux?

I love coming up looking real clean and sharp, and then getting sweaty and crazy because that’s what it’s all about—having a great time. When you’re up in the club looking sharp, but you’re dancing and having a good time, you’re going to be looking kind of like a mess. That’s a good thing because I want to show the people that I’m working for them and how much I really enjoy being up there performing. That way they can walk away and say that guy is a hard worker.

You recently announced that you’re going to open a Sports Leadership and Management Academy charter school in Vegas, something you did in Miami in 2013. How has sports and leadership contributed to your success?

[Participating in] in sports is important because it creates discipline. It creates punctuality. You understand what it means to work for a team. It also creates resourcefulness. When you throw all those things in a pot, that’s what allows you to become a leader. And the only way to lead is to lead by example. [I want] to mold their minds and teach them how to believe in themselves, how to work hard, and how they can accomplish anything as long as they envision it.
It’s amazing to see what a young mind can accomplish. We want them to be excited about education. So what better than to be doing algebra and have it based around football, baseball or basketball. And it’s been amazing for us. The school we have in Miami is a high-B school; we took all the kids in D and F schools, and now they’re in a high-B school. I’m sure it’ll be an A school this year. It’s the priceless part of the journey to help people really believe in themselves, inspire and motivate them. That’s when you can create, and I mean this in the nicest way possible, little monsters. That’s what I’m very excited about.

Speaking of your journey, have you had a chance to visit Cuba?

I went in 2001. I won’t be going back until it is completely free, and then we’ll be there doing a concert. I think 3 to 4 million people will be out there to watch that. And I can’t wait to live that dream for everybody who had to leave the country.

Have you thought about putting down deeper roots in Vegas?

The thing about the residency is that it is a temporary residency. I’m hoping that—well, I know it—will lead to a permanent residency, so I love Vegas and I love to be out there.
Ricky Martin was just in Vegas. Are you going to call him and ask him for advice?

No. I mean Ricky is great, and he’s given me the best advice in the world. He taught me to live la vida loca.

Who is a better dancer? You or Enrique Iglesias?

Ricky is a better dancer, but Jennifer [Lopez] is the ultimate dancer. Enrique? I can definitely outdance Enrique.
