Pitbull Named Florida’s Newest Tourism Ambassador.
It has just been announced that Pitbull will be taking on the role of Florida’s tourism ambassador!
Visit Florida, the state’s tourism agency, announced Mr. Worldwide as its new spokesman/ambassador during the Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism today in Tampa!
Part of Pitbull’s job as Florida’s Tourism Ambassador is to promote and advertise Florida with videos on the Jumbotrons before his concerts internationally. Another part of the deal includes Pit advertising the state’s fun venues and nightlife through social media, which he has already started doing earlier this year by including the hashtags #VisitFL & #LoveFL to his posts.
Visit Florida’s spokeswoman, Kathy Torian, said that Pitbull will sell the state in a subtle way – selling it selling without making it sound like he’s selling. For example, Florida’s beaches will be the backdrop in Pit’s upcoming video for his song, “Sexy Beaches” (which has not been released as a single yet).
“Florida is home, and I’m excited to be working with Visit Florida to share what I love about the Sunshine State with my fans around a the world.” said Pitbull.
