After months of being pressured to release the full details of his Visit Florida contract, Pitbull has finally released the complete contract and issued a statement via Twitter.

Two days ago it was announced that the Speaker of the Florida House is suing Pitbull’s production company, PDR Productions, Inc. to force the company to allow the state to publicly disclose what Visit Florida is paying Pit to promote the state.

Last week, Pitbull’s attorney warned that disclosing the contract would violate trade secret productions, which is a felony in Florida. But today (December 15), the complete contract has been released.

In the contract, it reveals that Visit Florida paid Pitbull $1 million to promote his home-state in a music video, at his concerts, and on his social media throughout the term of the one-year contract.

“It’s been an honor to represent Miami and the Sunshine State,” Pitbull wrote on Twitter. “I’ve taken Miami and Florida worldwide — WAY before any contract, and will do so way after. I love my home state. When asked to take on a New Year’s show, I INSISTED it be live from Florida. #LoveFL Since birth…..and till the day I die. Dale!”
