‘UglyDolls’ Releases Teaser Poster + Motion Poster Featuring Pitbull’s ‘Ugly Dog’

And sew it begins… The official teaser poster has now released for the upcoming UglyDolls movie starring Pitbull, Nick Jonas, Kelly Clarkson, Janelle Monae, Blake Shelton, and more!

UglyDolls Official Teaser Poster

In the animated film, the free-spirited UglyDolls confront what it means to be different, struggle with a desire to be loved, and ultimately discover who you truly are is what matters the most. The dolls live in the town of Uglyville, where cake and cookies are balanced diets and weird is celebrated as a special kind of beauty. UglyDog (voiced by Pitbull), along with Moxy (Kelly Clarkson), Ox (Blake Shelton), Wage (Wanda Sykes), Babo (Gabriel Iglesias), and Lucky Bat (Wang Leehom), set out to explore the world.

While exploring, they discover the town of Perfection, lead by Lou (voiced by Nick Jonas). Lou is the very image of perfection, who trains the citizens to behave in prescribed doll ways in order to “graduate” to the human word in hopes of finding a child’s love.

The animated adventure is about acceptance, diversity, joy, and friendship. It shows us that the words ugly, pretty, perfect, and imperfect are just words and it’s up to you what you make of those words. And most of all, it’s about being the best version of yourself that you can be.

Pitbull’s character, UglyDog, is Moxy’s closest friend and companion. He’s always got his eye on the ball, and he also has a smart collar with every gadget you can imagine. With UglyDog by your side, there’s no other loyal sidekick you’d need!

Stay tuned for the first official UglyDolls trailer, which arrives this Thursday, November 8th. Until then, take a look at these first stills from the film:

In addition to voicing a key character in the animated movie, Pitbull will be writing and performing and original song for the film.

The film is directed by Kelly Asbury and produced by Robert Rodriguez and Jane Hartwell. It is the first ever animated motion picture by STX Entertainment by their “family and animation” division.

Visit the movie’s official website UglyDolls.com to meet the UglyDolls, get to know the story behind the film, and more.

Things are about to get pretty ugly when UglyDolls hits theaters this May, 2019.
