A week after reaching Pop Radio’s Top 40, Pitbull’s “Messin’ Around (ft. Enrique Iglesias),” has slid into the Top 30 on this week’s edition of the Mediabase Pop Radio Airplay chart!
Spun 2,132 times during the April 17-23 tracking week (+647), “Messin’ Around,” rises seven places to No. 27 on this week’s chart.

“Messin’ Around,” has been doing extremely well since its Friday release. So far, it has charted on iTunes in over 20 countries, streamed over 300,000 times on Spotify, hit over 1,000,000 views on YouTube, amassed nearly 800 radio spins in the first three days of release, made its way to Pop Radio’s Top 40, and #MessinAround trended worldwide for over four hours on April 8th, peaking at #5.

Pitbull Talks Messing Around, Climate Change, and President Obama on KTU
Pitbull called into 103.5 KTU this morning from Miami to discuss upcoming projects including his new single with Enrique Iglesias, “Messing Around,” his new album, “Climate Change,” and his forthcoming KTUphoria performance. Pit also took the time to thank President Obama for giving him a shout-out during his speech in Cuba.
Interview Highlights:
- On his ‘day trip’ to New York: “I just have meetings, I’m in and out of New York today. I’m going up there to talk about an apparel line, and actually the whole marketing behind Voli Vodka today. So, going to the Big Apple to knock some things out the park.”
- On KTUphoria: “Its always an amazing show, and always a great crowd that comes out that has been showing love for many years so, I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
- On Enrique Iglesias: “We got a new single that’s coming out now which is called, ‘Messing Around,’ and that’ll be hitting the airwaves in about, I would say, a week or so, so look out for that one and maybe we can even jump onstage [at KTUphoria] and that’ll be the first performance that we do together of this record.
- On Climate Change: “Actually the album comes out right before KTUphoria. June 3rd, ‘Climate Change,’ will be in stores, so the first performance after the album will be in Jones Beach so get ready!”
- On The Most Bad Ones: “They’re great girls, very professional, and to be honest with you, I have so much respect for them and the band also, The Agents, because they’re really the ones that put in all the hard work. I just come in, and they make me look good.”
- On President Obama’s Shout-Out: “That was crazy. That right there just shows you hard work pays off and also to be a part of a speech that is so historical between the relationship between the United States of America and Cuba is just, I mean, a tremendous honor. Also to see the Cuban flag and the American flag behind him while he was saying that, to me, was just– the irony behind it, and the iconic moment that it is, and that it will be, and to be a part of it; what an honor.”

Pitbull will be headlining 103.5 KTU’s KTUphoria alongside good-friend and collaborator, Enrique Iglesias.
The concert will take place on June 4, at Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in New York! Other performers include, Backstreet Boys, Mike Posner, and Bebe Rexha.

New Audio: Pitbull Talks Turn-On’s, Turn-Offs, and new Music with Enrique Iglesias
In a recent interview Pitbull did at Rodeo Houston, he revealed his biggest turn-on’s and turn-offs, how he relaxes and, ‘escapes,’ his upcoming single with Enrique Iglesias, and more!
Interview Highlights:
- On Performing: “For one, I’m up there doing what I love. So its like, I really don’t feel like I’m running out of energy.
- On Women: “To me, the most attractive quality is when there’s a certain mystique to a woman. I was raised by women, I was raised by a single mother that gave me that intuition that women have.”
- On his Biggest Turn-Offs: “If a woman doesn’t keep up with herself, it shows you they might not keep up with other things.”
- On the Bahamas: “If you catch me in the Bahamas, when there’s nobody around, I’ll be out there in a pair of underwear jumping in the water. You’ll catch me getting loose out there. What I love about places like that; its like the Twilight Zone.”
- On his Upcoming Enrique Iglesias Collaboration: “We have a new song with Enrique, we’re looking at probably an early April release. It’s called, “Messing Around”. I gotta say thank you to Enrique Iglesias as always. He always shows so much love. More than anything, Enrique isn’t only a great business-partner, a great-person to learn from, but he’s also a stand-up human being.”

Pitbull, Enrique Iglesias and More to Perform in Peru!
Enrique Iglesias announced this morning on Twitter that he is performing a concert in Peru later this year. About an hour and half later, Pitbull tweeted him back announcing that he will be joining Enrique at the Peru show. Then at about noon, Prince Royce joined in on the conversation announcing that he will also be joining Pitque at their show in Lima! And to top it off, J Balvin replied back announcing that he too, will be at the concert!
The show will be held in Lima, Peru on November 21st, 2015 at Estadio Nacional from 6pm – 11:45pm! Special guests Juan Magan and Joe Montana will also be joining the quad at the concert! Tickets will be on sale soon.
After the concert was announced, fans went crazy on social media! Four of the biggest acts in Latin Music are coming together to perform one huge show!
But this show might not be the only show that they’re performing together… when Prince Royce announced that he’d be at the concert he included the hashtag #EuphoriaTour2, which could be a hint that there will be a second round of the tour that Iglesias, Pitbull & Royce did together back in 2011. Then, when JBalvin announced that he too would be joining them, he included the hashtag #EnriquePitbullRoyceBalvinTour1.0 in his tweet, which sounds like one of the best tours ever! Hopefully those hashtags mean that they are all touring together late 2015/early 2016!
