2016 has been a whirlwind year for Pitbull that has been full of history-making accomplishments. From winning his first English-GRAMMY, to receiving his star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, 2016 has been one of Mr. Worldwide‘s most-successful years yet. And PBU has broken down his most noteworthy events in this Year in Review.

JANUARY:

JANUARY 1ST: Pitbull kicks off 2016 with a bang on the 2nd annual Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution! With performances from 18-artists and special guest-appearances throughout the night, it was definitely the hottest New Year’s Eve party around!

JANUARY 8TH: “Freedom (The Official Norwegian Cruise Line Anthem)” by Pitbull releases! It is the second official single from his upcoming tenth studio-album, “Climate Change“.

JANUARY 15TH: Pitbull turns 35! And as a birthday present for the rapper, fans come together for a special birthday project, which Pit shared on his social-media.

FEBRUARY:

FEBRUARY 15TH: Mr. Worldwide wins his very first English-GRAMMY Award and premieres “Bad Man” as he closes out the 58th GRAMMY Awards.

MARCH:

MARCH 11TH: This day is proclaimed as Pitbull Day in the city of Las Vegas, NV by Mayor Goodman. All citizens are asked to, “recognize the award-winning American rapper who has made a large impact on the city of Las Vegas and its community”.

MARCH 12TH: Pitbull kicks off the second leg of his Time of our Lives Vegas residency at Planet Hollywood and his good friend Jennifer Lopez makes an appearance.

MARCH 22ND: President Barack Obama mentions Pitbull during the keynote speech of his historic Cuba visit.

APRIL:

APRIL 3TH: Mr. 305 performs and wins Latin Artist of the Year at the 3rd annual iHeartRadio Music Awards.

APRIL 8TH: “Messin’ Around” by Pitbull ft. Enrique Iglesias releases! It is the fourth official single from his upcoming tenth studio-album, “Climate Change“.

APRIL 28TH: Pitbull wins two Billboard Latin Music Awards: Album Latin Rhythm del Ano & Latin Rhythm Albums Artista del ano, Solista.

MAY:

MAY 23RD: “Superstar” by Pitbull ft. Becky G releases! It is the official Copa America Centenario anthem.

MAY 27TH: Pitbull performs for nearly 200,000 fans at the annual Mawazine Festival in Morocco, breaking his previous attendance-record of 90,000.

JUNE:

JUNE 10TH: The first movie Pitbull has ever executive-produced, “Puerto Ricans in Paris” hit theaters in North America and Puerto Rico.

JUNE 26TH: Pitbull and Becky G perform, “Superstar” at the Copa America Centenario final at MetLife Stadium.

JULY:

JULY 6TH: Pitbull kicks off his first North American solo-headlining arena tour, The Bad Man Tour, in Fresno, CA to a sold-out crowd at the Save Mart Center.

JULY 13TH: The official music video for the 2014 Globalization track, “Sexy Beaches” premieres on Pitbull’s official VEVO channel.

JULY 15TH: Mr. Worldwide is honored with his Star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame, which is arguably the biggest moment in his career so far. During the Walk of Fame ceremony, Pitbull was also given one of Celia Cruz’s infamous shoes.

JULY 22ND: “Greenlight” by Pitbull ft. Flo Rida & LunchMoney Lewis releases! It is the fifth official single from his upcoming tenth studio-album, “Climate Change“.

AUGUST:

AUGUST 8TH: Pitbull earns the prestigious SoundExchange Digital Radio Award for reaching four billion performances on over 2,500 digital radio services nationwide.

SEPTEMBER:

SEPTEMBER 7TH: Pitbull lands seventh spot on Forbes’ Hip-Hop Cash Kings list, earning an estimate of $20,000 from just music and public endorsements alone.

SEPTEMBER 16TH: Pitbull visits his second charter-school, SLAM! Nevada and cuts the ribbon to officially open the school. During his visit, he also teaches a basketball class to over a dozen of lucky students.

SEPTEMBER 19TH: Pitbull’s 2014 hit, “Fireball” becomes certified double platinum in the United States.

OCTOBER:

OCTOBER 4TH: The half-hour Mr. Worldwide documentary, “Pitbull: Beyond Worldwide” airs on Fuse, and gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at Pit’s life and career.

NOVEMBER:

NOVEMBER 5TH: Pitbull receives the inaugural iHeartRadio Premio Corazon Latino Award at iHeart Fiesta Latina. Mr. 305 was brought to tears as students from his SLAM! Academy presented the award to him.

NOVEMBER 16TH: Pitbull’s “Greenlight” becomes Certified Gold in Canada, surpassing 50,000 digital digital-downloads, streams, physical-purchases.

NOVEMBER 21ST: “Can’t Have” by Pitbull ft. Steven A. Clark & Ape Drums releases! It is the sixth released track from his upcoming tenth studio-album, “Climate Change“.

NOVEMBER 25TH: “On The Floor” by Jennifer Lopez ft. Pitbull gets 10x VEVO Certified by reaching One Billion views.

NOVEMBER 30TH: Pitbull’s third fragrance, “Pitbull Cuba” releases, and it’s his most-personal fragrance yet. The men’s and women’s fragrance pays homage to Pit’s Cuban heritage.

DECEMBER:
