Did Pitbull Just Reveal he’ll be a Judge on Season 23 of Dancing with the Stars?

Could Mr. Worldwide become Mr. Dancing with the Stars? That’s the question everyone’s asking ever since Pitbull hinted at joining the judges’ table on the Season 22 finale last night.

Pitbull wowed the crowd with his debut performance of, “Messin’ Around,” last night — and afterward, host Erin Andrews put him in the hot seat, asking if he’d join the show as a judge next season! So could this be a thing, or was Andrews just teasing something to get fans hyped for the fall season? Watch what Pit had to say below.

“As far as judging, I’m always judging,” said Pitbull, “I’m looking at the show all around the world wherever I’m at, and I’m giving you my opinion… so you never know!”

Andrews, not taking no for an answer, replied, “So we’ll see you next season, sitting next to Carrie Ann”.

Although, Pit didn’t seem to want to commit to anything while onstage, his comments and her question were enough to get fans buzzing about the potential new judge. But will Pitbull be a permanent judge on the hit ABC show, or just a guest judge? That’s still up in air, but he would definitely be a great judge, as he proved back in 2014 when he took the role of a guest-judge for a night.

We don’t know if Pitbull knew that Erin Andrews would ask him that question, or if it was just a spur-of-the-moment type of thing, but Pit didn’t seem to have a clear answer. Hopefully, Pit was just playing coy and he will be joining the judges’ table… but I guess we’ll just have to wait to find out!

We have another one with Steven Marley. I mean, we have a bunch of records right now,” said Pit when asked about, “Climate Change”.

Pitbull Talks Messing Around, Climate Change, and President Obama on KTU

Pitbull called into 103.5 KTU this morning from Miami to discuss upcoming projects including his new single with Enrique Iglesias, “Messing Around,” his new album, “Climate Change,” and his forthcoming KTUphoria performance. Pit also took the time to thank President Obama for giving him a shout-out during his speech in Cuba.

Interview Highlights:

  • On his ‘day trip’ to New York: “I just have meetings, I’m in and out of New York today. I’m going up there to talk about an apparel line, and actually the whole marketing behind Voli Vodka today. So, going to the Big Apple to knock some things out the park.”
  • On KTUphoria: “Its always an amazing show, and always a great crowd that comes out that has been showing love for many years so, I’m definitely looking forward to it.”
  • On Enrique Iglesias: “We got a new single that’s coming out now which is called, ‘Messing Around,’ and that’ll be hitting the airwaves in about, I would say, a week or so, so look out for that one and maybe we can even jump onstage [at KTUphoria] and that’ll be the first performance that we do together of this record.
  • On Climate Change: “Actually the album comes out right before KTUphoria. June 3rd, ‘Climate Change,’ will be in stores, so the first performance after the album will be in Jones Beach so get ready!”
  • On The Most Bad Ones: “They’re great girls, very professional, and to be honest with you, I have so much respect for them and the band also, The Agents, because they’re really the ones that put in all the hard work. I just come in, and they make me look good.”
  • On President Obama’s Shout-Out: “That was crazy. That right there just shows you hard work pays off and also to be a part of a speech that is so historical between the relationship between the United States of America and Cuba is just, I mean, a tremendous honor. Also to see the Cuban flag and the American flag behind him while he was saying that, to me, was just– the irony behind it, and the iconic moment that it is, and that it will be, and to be a part of it; what an honor.”

Las Vegas Magazine: He’s Suave, He’s Sexy, He’s Pitbull

Pitbull is gracing the cover of this week’s Las Vegas Magazine to promote the second round of his residency!

Read the article below!

Want your wife or girlfriend to love you forever? We’ve got one piece of advice: Take her to a Pitbull concert.

The rap star’s residency at Axis at Planet Hollywood Resort, which resumed this month, has an effect on women that’s hard to describe unless you’ve been to one of his concerts. Things start off quietly enough—a dramatic video plays, outlining how the star’s parents were Cuban expatriates, and how he struggled to overcome considerable odds to become one of the biggest music stars on the planet—but once Pitbull emerges onstage and launches into hits like “Fireball,” good luck seeing the show if you’re still sitting.

But eventually it’s not just the female members of the audience who are losing their dancing inhibitions: Even reluctant husbands and boyfriends will eventually be coaxed into dancing by the sheer fun transpiring onstage.

That’s the power of Pitbull: He unites everyone in a frenzy of fun, mixing in his political views with great beats and lyrics that are all about the importance—and benefits—of freedom.

Pitbull shows no shortage of enthusiasm in discussing his ongoing Time of Our Lives engagement at Planet Hollywood Resort. The Miami-born rapper is the first rapper in history to earn a Vegas extended engagement. That residency began in 2015, the final year of his seven-year plan for success, designated for “making history.”

“That’s definitely a part of making history right there, to even have this opportunity to perform in Vegas, because it’s something that I feel was … the idea was spawned and blossomed in Cuba, in Havana,” says the 34-year-old son of Cuban expatriates who named him Armando Christian Perez. Prerevolutionary Cuba’s tourism influenced the development of Las Vegas, and after Castro came to power many Cuban entertainers left the island nation for the Strip. “Vegas is something that is deeply rooted in culture for me and, I would say, my family, but to also be a part of what I would see as the (entertainment) elite in Vegas is amazing.”

It may have seemed an audacious goal more than a decade ago when Pitbull’s “Culo” was ubiquitously heard in Vegas nightclubs, but he has arguably made an indelible mark in the music industry and beyond. His 2015 album Dale is his ninth and, due to its diversity of influences, serves as a metaphor for his hometown’s melting pot. He is in demand for endorsements, has his own brand of vodka, Voli, and an eponymous fragrance, hosted his New Year’s Eve television special in December and maintains a development deal for online content.

He can envision his name on Strip marquees for extended periods, though. “Obviously, that would be the goal, to have something permanent in Vegas,” says Pitbull. “But just to be able to have two weeks over there and really soak up the city, soak up the people, soak up the energy … for us on our career side, it’s great. It’s only going to give us more ideas for records and opportunities, but more than anything it’s amazing to have this opportunity, and I’m still in awe about it.”

During his first residency in September and October, Pitbull broke ground on the Las Vegas version of his successful Sports Leadership & Management charter school in Miami; that’s scheduled to open this fall. Florida also made Pitbull its official tourism ambassador in recognition of his often-expressed civic pride, and politicians are rumored to have attempted to curry favor before the presidential primaries.

Pitbull has his eyes on a different prize, though. “Vegas is what it is now, and Cuba’s going to reopen,” he says. “I’m hoping to be the bridge between them, and be the one that performs in Vegas and also gets the chance to have a residency in Cuba once it completely opens up.”

Interview Highlights:

  • On Performing: “For one, I’m up there doing what I love. So its like, I really don’t feel like I’m running out of energy.
  • On Women: “To me, the most attractive quality is when there’s a certain mystique to a woman. I was raised by women, I was raised by a single mother that gave me that intuition that women have.”
  • On his Biggest Turn-Offs: “If a woman doesn’t keep up with herself, it shows you they might not keep up with other things.”
  • On the Bahamas: “If you catch me in the Bahamas, when there’s nobody around, I’ll be out there in a pair of underwear jumping in the water. You’ll catch me getting loose out there. What I love about places like that; its like the Twilight Zone.”
  • On his Upcoming Enrique Iglesias Collaboration: “We have a new song with Enrique, we’re looking at probably an early April release. It’s called, “Messing Around”. I gotta say thank you to Enrique Iglesias as always. He always shows so much love.
