2017 has been an incredible year for Mr. Worldwide that has been full of amazing achievements and events. From releasing his 10th studio-album, to co-headlining a sold-out tour, and receiving numerous honors, 2017 has been one of Pitbull‘s most significant years yet. There is no doubt that 2017 has lived up to Mr. 305‘s resolution, “Gingerbread man plan, catch him in you can”, and now PBU has broken down his most notable events in this Year In Review.

JANUARY:

JANUARY 1^ST:  Pitbull kicks off the year with a bang on the 3rd annual Pitbull’s New Year’s Revolution! In front of 150,000 fans, Mr. Worldwide brings 2017 in with an incredible and unforgettable NYE party featuring performances from over a dozen artists.

JANUARY 15^TH: Pitbull turns 36! And as a special birthday gift for Mr. 305, fans from all around the world come together to wish him a happy birthday in this fan-project video!

FEBRUARY:

FEBRUARY 8^TH: The Playboy Don’t Stop The Party Featuring Pitbull slot machine experience launches nationwide. And it’s not only available in casinos, it’s also available as an online game for smart phones and desktops.

FEBRUARY 17^TH: “Options” by Pitbull ft. Stephen Marley releases, it is the 6th single off the album, “Climate Change“!

FEBRUARY 24^TH: “Ay Mi Dios” by IAmChino ft. Pitbull, Yandel, & Chacal wins Best Urban Collaboration of the Year at Premio Lo Nuestro, marking his fifth PLN trophy!

MARCH:

MARCH 9^TH: The Spanish version of “Hey Ma” by Pitbull & J Balvin ft. Camila Cabello releases along with the single’s official music video. The track is the official Fate of the Furious Spanish theme song.

MARCH 10^TH: The first annual Pitbull After Dark Party — The Pitbull Cruise sets sail in Miami, FL, kicking off an unforgettable weekend at sea featuring amazing performances, activities, and more.

MARCH 17^TH: Mr. Worldwide releases his long awaited tenth studio-album, “Climate Change“, which features the hit-singles “Greenlight“, “Messin’ Around“, and “Options“, along with all-new tracks like “Better On Me“, “Sexy Body“, and “We Are Strong“.

MARCH 17^TH: The official music video for “Options” by Pitbull ft. Stephen Marley releases on VEVO.

MARCH 18^TH: Pitbull makes motivational speaking debut at the Real Estate Wealth Expo in Toronto, ON by sharing his story in front of a crowd of over 15,000 attendees.

APRIL:

APRIL 2^ND: Pitbull performs “Greenlight” with Flo Rida and LunchMoney Lewis at Wrestlemania 33. The single is the official theme song for the event.

APRIL 6^TH: The English version of “Hey Ma” by Pitbull & J Balvin ft. Camila Cabello releases along with the track’s official music video. The hit song is featured on the official soundtrack for the box office hit, The Fate of the Furious.

APRIL 19^TH: The official music video for “Lady” by Austin Mahone ft. Pitbull releases on VEVO.

APRIL 20^TH: The official music video fro “Bad Man” by Pitbull ft. Robin Thicke, Joe Perry, & Travis Barker releases on VEVO.

APRIL 28^TH: “Bailar” by Deorro ft. Pitbull & Elvis Crespo wins Tropical Song of the Year at the Latin Billboard Music Awards, giving Pit his fifth LBBMA to date.

MAY:

MAY 7^TH: Pitbull performs “Hey Ma” with Camila Cabello and J Balvin at the MTV Movie & TV Awards.

MAY 11^TH: Pitbull signs with the talent agency, WME to expand his businesses across music, film, television, and motivational speaking, after previously being inked to CAA.

MAY 14^TH: Pitbull performs “Options” with Stephen Marley at the 2017 Miss USA Competition in Las Vegas.

MAY 31^ST: Austin Mahone and Pitbull’s hit, “Lady” hits No. 1 on the Billboard Dance Chart, granting Mr. Worldwide his 14th song that has topped this chart, tying him for the most among male artists.

JUNE:

JUNE 3^RD: The first leg of the Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull Live! Tour kicks off in Chicago with a sold-out show at the Allstate Arena, and PitbullUpdates was there to experience the amazing night in person.

JUNE 15^TH: Pitbull receives the first ever Global Ambassador Award at the Songwriters Hall of Fame. Along with receiving the inaugural honor, Pit also performs a medley of his hits at the prestigious ceremony.

JUNE 26^TH: Mr. 305 is presented with the 2017 Artist Advocacy Award/Citizen Artist Award by Miami Beach mayor, Philip Levine, at the U.S. Conference of Mayors.

JULY:

JULY 1^ST: The first leg of the Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull Live! Tour closes out with two sold-out shows at the iconic Madison Square Garden in New York City. The first leg of the highly-successful tour amassed over $18 million with a total of over 185,000 tickets sold, meaning every show was sold to capacity.

JULY 10^TH: Mr. Worldwide performs at the MLB Home Run Derby in his hometown of Miami. During his performance, he rocks a custom baseball jersey that goes viral, causing Pitbull to be the top trend on Twitter and Facebook for nearly a day straight.

JULY 22^ND: Pitbull returns to Las Vegas for another 8-show leg of his hit residency, Time of Our Lives, at Planet Hollywood’s AXIS Theatre.

AUGUST:

AUGUST 6^TH: Pitbull debuts three new Voli 305 goblets at the Sugar Factory in Las Vegas. The goblets, which are available at all Sugar Factory restaurants across the globe, are designed and tasted by Mr. 305 himself.

SEPTEMBER:

SEPTEMBER 26^TH: Pitbull lends his private plane to cancer patients in Puerto Rico who were affected by Hurricane Maria so that they can fly to mainland USA to continue their live-saving treatments. His incredible charitable efforts make the news across the world, causing even more celebrities and citizens to be inspired to help out.

SEPTEMBER 27^TH: Mr. Worldwide lands on Forbes Hip-Hop Cash Kings list for the eighth consecutive year. He ranks in at No. 8 on the list, earning over $27,000,000 from August 2016-2017.

OCTOBER:

OCTOBER 3^RD: The second leg of the Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull Live! Tour kicks off at Washington D.C.’s Capital One Arena with another sold-out show.

OCTOBER 11^TH: Pitbull guest appears on MTV’s TRL and gifts a $40,000 scholarship to a student from Puerto Rico.

OCTOBER 19^TH: “Hey Ma” by Pitbull & J Balvin ft. Camila Cabello wins Favorite Collaboration at the Kids Choice Awards Argentina.

OCTOBER 24^TH: The official music video for “Don’t Stop The Party” by Pitbull ft. TJR surpasses 100 million views, making it VEVO certified. This is Pitbull’s 25th music video to accomplish this achievement.

OCTOBER 26^TH: The Spanish and Spanglish versions of “Por Favor” by Pitbull & Fifth Harmony release. The highly-anticipated single debuts in the Top 30 on iTunes Worldwide and tops of the charts in dozens of countries. It is the first single off of his upcoming Spanish-language album, slated for release during the first half of 2018.

OCTOBER 26^TH: Pitbull receives the first-ever Dick Clark Achievement Award at the Latin American Music Awards. On top of receiving the history-making honor, Mr. Worldwide performs “Por Favor” with Fifth Harmony and premieres the not-yet released single, “Muevelo Loca Boom Boom“.

NOVEMBER:

NOVEMBER 4^TH: Pitbull receives the Lollipop Award at the Amigos For Kids 25th Anniversary Gala in Miami. The award recognizes Armando for his outstanding effort and dedication to children’s philanthropic causes.

NOVEMBER 8^TH: “Hey Ma” by Pitbull & J Balvin ft. Camila Cabello wins Favorite Collaboration at Nickelodeon Awards Brazil.

NOVEMBER 9^TH: Pitbull and Stereotype’s single, “Jungle” ft. Abraham Mateo & E-40 releases. It is the lead single off of Mr. Worldwide’s compilation album, “Greatest Hits“, which releases December 1st.

NOVEMBER 22^ND: The second leg of the Enrique Iglesias & Pitbull Live! Tour closes out at the Frank Erwin Center in Austin, TX. The North American tour grossed over $40 million over both legs with 423,000 tickets sold, making it No. 1 on Billboard’s Hot Tours chart.

NOVEMBER 27^TH: The official music video for “Por Favor” by Pitbull & Fifth Harmony releases on VEVO.

DECEMBER:

DECEMBER 1^ST: Mr. Worldwide’s compilation album, “Greatest Hits” releases worldwide. The album includes 11 of his most popular songs along with two new tracks.

DECEMBER 1^ST: The first ever student-run national channel in broadcast radio history, SLAM! Radio, is announced. The channel is co-founded by Pitbull and the station will be produced and presented by high school students at SLAM! Charter School in Miami. The channel is slated to go live in August of 2018.

DECEMBER 4^TH: The official music video for “Jungle” by Pitbull & Stereotypes ft. Abraham Mateo & E-40 is released on VEVO.

DECEMBER 14^TH: Pitbull’s brand-new single, “Muevelo Loca Boom Boom” releases for purchase and streaming worldwide. The highly-anticipated song is released as a promo single for Zumba.

DECEMBER 18^TH: The official music video for Pitbull and Kesha’s 2013 hit, “Timber” officially hits 1 billion views on VEVO. This is Mr. Worldwide’s second video to reach this milestone and Kesha’s first.

DECEMBER 31^ST: Pitbull will be ringing in 2018 at his annual New Year’s Eve concert at Bayfront Park in his hometown of Miami. This year’s concert will feature performances from not only Mr. 305 himself, but also DJ Laz, DJ Irie, and IAmChino. And although it will not be broadcast live on FOX per usual, highlights from the concert will be included on Univision’s, Feliz 2018! Check out a recap of last year’s celebration below.

2017 was such a massive year for Pitbull and we can’t wait to see what 2018 has in store for him! We know he will continue to make history in the new year and that it will be even bigger and better for Mr. Worldwide. And although his annual plan for 2018 is, “off the grid”, it will be a busy year for him no doubt, as he already has the 2nd annual Pitbull Cruise, another 13 dates for his Vegas residency, and an upcoming Spanish album announced. We’re definitely looking forward to it!
